Intelligent Design
Predicting your data center project investment costs is nearly impossible with the traditional process of documenting requirements, producing design drawings and value engineering. Significant time and money must be invested to even determine a high-level Return On Investment needed to make a Go/No go decision. Often, to reduce the amount of time and money getting to this decision, shortcuts are taken and assumptions are made that introduce risk to the project from the very start.

Broadband Utilities' Intelligent Design process uses an object-based Building Information Modeling design tool, called dcModeler™, which has been optimized to address the unique and complex engineering requirements for building data centers. Now you can remove most of the guesswork from the process by simply providing your space, power and redundancy requirements, allowing the tool and our experience to provide you with scope, estimates and a visual 3D model of your project in real-time.

The technology relies on industry standard cost data produced by RSMeans combined with our design and build experience of over 50 mission critical facilities for companies like AT&T, Microsoft, Radio Shack and Experian. Using design approaches to achieve the desired redundancy and 3D space modeling, the tool produces both an estimate and a written scope incorporating the specific characteristics of your project. Then, unlike any experience that you have had to date, you can value engineer your design on a macro level to optimize your return on investment before spending your own money designing a project that may not meet your investment criteria.
